Her entire life Felicity Hamer had never left the borders of Verdun until, at the age of four, she decided it was time to see what was at the other end of Wellington St. The following 15 years saw Felicity raised and taught to sing by bartenders and other assorted bar folk. School revealed a keen eye for photography and produced a world-class hoofer capable of tap-dancing anyone in a pair of soft shoes under the table. Her preternaturally rich voice combined with a willingness to put up with drunks have made Felicity a godsend to the United Steel Workers of Montreal. With harmonies like a warm blanket and heart breaking melodies, Felicity Hamer has done more than bring The United Steel Workers of Montreal to the forefront of Alt-Country? she has brought smiles to their sour pusses.
