Claiming to be a born and bred Montrealer, Matt Watson was raised in a series of far-flung boarding schools, affording him the opportunity to experience a near record variety of chamber pots the world over. Theatre trained, he brings his imposing stage presence and driving Tele to the United Steel Workers of Montreal by way of the Dirty Ol? Band?s Train Song Sunday ? a Montreal tradition spanning two centuries. A solid grounding in flat-picked guitar and mandolin as well as a deft hand on Organ, Piano and West African Voodoo has made Mr. Watson a cornerstone of the Alt-Country movement.

Matt can also be found playing on the latest High Dials album:
War of the Wakening Phantom
